Muncie PTO parts for International trucks

International work trucks mostly pair with Allison automatics or Eaton transmissions, and that pairing sets the Muncie series.

Allison: the usual International pairing

Bucket trucks, utility bodies and many dump trucks on International chassis use an Allison automatic, so the PTO is normally a clutch shift unit that can be switched on from the cab without stopping the gears. For the Allison 3000 and 4000 Series, Muncie offers the A20, A30, A40 and A50 and the CS40 and CS41. Lighter Allison 1000 and 2000 Series trucks commonly carry a TG, a CS6 or a GA6B or GM6B; the tag tells us which one you have.

Eaton Fuller manual transmissions

Dump and heavy haul International trucks with an Eaton Fuller manual use side mount gear PTOs. The TG Series covers most dump pump work, with the SH and 82 Series for jobs that need more torque. Older units may be an SG or an RL.

Split shafts for big hydraulic systems

When the side opening cannot supply enough power, a split shaft sits in the main driveshaft and gives the truck extra PTO openings. The SS66 adds two 6-bolt openings and is typically used up to Class 5, while the SS88 and the SSH2 and SSV2 handle heavier chassis.

What to send us

The PTO model number, the transmission model and the body or equipment the PTO drives. With those three we can quote the parts, or tell you why a different series would last longer.

Send the model number off the PTO tag, a part or item number, or simply what the PTO is bolted to. A parts specialist answers during business hours.

No model number? Photograph the data tag on the PTO housing, or the part itself; that is usually all we need to identify it. JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 5 MB each.
